Belmont Middle School offers strong academics, hands-on classes in career and technical education, visual and fine arts, and competitive athletics. Students can also get involved in clubs and activities.

Congratulations to the Belmont Middle School robotics team for earning the overall middle school championship at RoboGaston, held Saturday, March 28, at Forestview High School.

Congratulations to the Belmont Middle School Battle of the Books team for placing first in the district competition.

Belmont Middle School captured its fourth Gaston County Conference basketball championship defeating previously unbeaten York Chester 42-34.
The victory marks Belmont’s fourth conference title. The school also won championships in 2001, 2011 and 2022.

Gaston County Schools held the annual Middle School Cheer Showcase on February 27 at Stuart W. Cramer High School.
The annual event highlights teamwork and school pride, and all teams were recognized for their enthusiasm, spirit and strong performances.

Congratulations to our football team for finishing the season undefeated and capturing the school’s seventh county championship title.

Thanks to our partnership with Kintegra Health, we offer a telehealth clinic here at our school. Students, who are experiencing a minor illness or condition, can be seen by a medical provider virtually.

The Board of Education will meet on Monday, May 18, at 5:30 p.m. at the Gaston County Schools Central Office, 943 Osceola Street, Gastonia. The public is invited to attend. SUN Bucks is a program from the U.S. Department of Agriculture that helps families buy groceries during the summer months when school is out. Eligible families will receive a one-time payment of $120 per child on a debit-like card. The card can be used to purchase nutritious food during the summer months when schools are out.
